  Humans are not wired to want the truth

  that's what i suspect.. perhaps some of us retrained our brains to not surrender to a natural urge to believe the simplest, most drama-laden spins on facts.. examples (at least i think this is the truth!):.

  the clock.

  the son of muslim activists makes a device that, on purpose, looks like a bomb.

  Freedom in admitting the truth...

  for those that lurk or havnt decided to post yet.... living a lie is difficult.

  nobody would likely disagree with that... many of us lived or are living the wt lie for the sake of friends or family.

  it can eat at us and put us in situations where we frame half truths, try to find tactful way to avoid telling people what we really think.. there is great freedom in being able to admit truths.

  What I would like to see soon!

  i would like to see one or better two members of the governing body get disfellowshipped and they both go off to write books like ray franz exposing the cult to all the sexual scandals, the hidden agendas with the stock market investments, the lawsuits, the laying of long time bethel workers, hidden sins by the higher ups and all the other nasty skeletons in the watchtower closet..

  what would be different today compared to rays time is that we now live in a social media world..

  they would be invited to talk in the oprah winfrey show, ellen degeneres show, the view, dateline.

  Is the Borg winding down printing altogether?

  the thread about magazines stopping distribution in india reminded me of a recent conversation.

  a local brother said he asked for a copy of the new organisation book for publishers.

  the elder told the brother to print it out if he wanted a physical copy.

  Raining before the Flood?

  i remember at my teen years when i was studying with a brother that he said to me that there was no rain before the flood.

  instead there was this mist that you have.

  never before or after this have i heard something like this.

  An old Circuit Overseer in the 70s in his public talk said there were no oceans or seas before the flood. It was only after the deluge of heavy rainfall that oceans and seas formed

  No more printing of WT and Awake in my country.. Shit just got real

  guys .

  a letter was just read in out kh stating that all printing of wt and awake is ceased for the coming year and we will just place tracts on fs, countries which were cared by our branch will be cared by other countries...along with this they read the new fs form and stuff about reporting links of videos wtf..lol.

  i can't tell which country perhaps that will give away a lot, any one with a similar information.

  It might serve the interests of ex-JWs here to fund a soft landing for any GB member who chooses to leave the org and spill the beans...

  I never thought of that, that would be cool to have Lett or Jackson posting on this site and asking everyone if they still believe in God.

  They probably have all higher ups (branch coordinators, bethel elders, committee members, and GB) sign a non-disclosure agreement or confidentiality agreement and extend this 50 years AFTER they leave

  That may be true but it doesn’t necessarily stop people from spilling the beans. Examples like Jeffrey Wigand the whistleblower in the tobacco industry and several others. It didn’t matter to them if they went to jail.

  What would happen ??

  there is a certain elder in my wives hall that has seemed to developed a real interest her.

  first he seemed to feel a need to make sure all her blood cards were signed before she gave birth to our child.. he sends her text messages if she misses a meeting saying how much " we missed you last night ".

  he finally sent her a text wondering where her oct hours were , knowing she had some pretty serious tears from child birth and could hardly even walk, much less do field service ".

  There is a certain elder in my wives hall that has seemed to developed a real interest her.

  Speaking as a former elder, I would never let any man especially an elder to get that close to my wife. Definitely tell him if he needs to talk to your wife regarding anything, he needs to go through you. That's the headship arrangement in the JW world.
